Each of us was in some place when we witnessed this event so extraordinarily tragic by both the quantity and quality of lives lost and material damaged.
This is a good time for a brainstorming session!
Who is man? Why is he so fragile?
Why did the earth move so abruptly on that January 12? She did in Port au Prince, in Haiti, under me, my car. She moved under the buildings where my folks and I were working, studying, or just hanging out.
Who pulled the trigger?
Who is behind all that? (God, Satan, the American super power, nature)
Who can enlighten us? Who can quench our thirst for information about this mystery?
When will this end?
How long will this last?
Can the earth wobble again?
Will I survive?
Will we survive?
Will Haiti survive?
Is this the end of the world?
Oh yeah!
Thousands are crippled, women, children, bloody men crying, losing their mind and of course praying.
The name of Jesus was the most called upon name in the metropolitan area of Port au Prince and beyond that night! It is as if we all became believers in one savior. Time will confirm the genuineness of this!
Any way, we had to walk many kilometers to see and assess the damage made to our living places or to find another one.
After all, that earthquake and the after shocks are now an intrinsic part of our bodies, our minds, our spirits our souls.
We are indelibly marked by the cruelty of this quake.
But, we are still around! We are scared but we are still alive! We are worried but we are here!
What do we do now?
Can someone tell me what is next?
Whoever knows the answer should assume its responsibility!
Let our country take the final turn to freedom, equality, fraternity and prosperity!
From Ti Pawòl II
